    Tridonic Portugal is part of the Zumtobel Group. We are recruiting for a Full Stack Developer to work in our group-wide software competence centre for lighting technologies in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Opened in January 2019, the Software Centre currently employs +60 software engineers and continuous to grow. You will be part of a team on the edge of innovation who takes pride in bringing to the market new innovations and state of the art technology. This is an exciting time to join the Tridonic team as we strengthen our position as the global driver of lighting technology.

    As a Full Stack Developer you will develop, test, and implement frontend&backend solutions that manage and control cloud-based lighting and IoT systems.

    Your remit will include but not limited to:
    • Develop, test, and implement frontend&backend solutions that manage and control cloud-based lighting and IoT systems.
    • Ensure the integration of frontend&backend solutions into the complete end2end system
    • Work with hardware engineers and designers to create seamless integration between physical lighting control systems and software.
    • Develop algorithms for dynamic lighting control, energy management, and user experience enhancement.
    • Design and implement user interfaces that allow users to interact efficiently with the lighting control systems.
    • Ensure that the user interfaces are intuitive and provide optimal user experience.
    • Develop applications and solutions that allow lighting systems to connect and communicate with various IoT devices.
    • Ensure security and stability in IoT integrations.
    • Develop and manage databases that store user data, usage patterns, and system analytics.
    • Implement backup and recovery processes for data protection and integrity
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
    • Ensure all developed solutions are robust, scalable, and free of bugs.
    • Implement testing frameworks and conduct thorough testing of all developed applications.
    • Provide ongoing maintenance and iterative updates for software solutions.
    • Address any issues or bugs in the software in a timely manner.
Your profile
    In order to fulfil your goals, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, and:
    • Proven experience in software development in a full stack role and in developing cloud-based systems.
    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
    • Knowledge of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
    • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as EmberJS (preferred), AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
    • Experience with our Tech Stack ember.js, GoLang, and aws.
    • Knowledge of lighting control systems, IoT, communication protocols and related technologies.
    • Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies.
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., Ember, Angular, React).
    • Expertise in back-end technologies including server, database, and application development using languages and frameworks such as Golang, Node.js, Python, Java, etc.
    • Knowledge of database management and related technologies (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
    • Experience with IoT technologies, protocols, and cybersecurity.
    • Ability to deliver results in a high-pace and customer demanding environment.
    • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
